In this discussion, Dr. Frank Boles of the Clarke Historical Library at Central Michigan University concentrates on the Klan of the 1920s. Dr. Boles came to CMU in 1991 from the University of Michigan, the institution that had awarded him his doctorate in American labor history. He had also served for many years as an archivist at the Bentley Historical Library and as an instructor in archival administration within UofM’s School of Information.
Among his other achievements he is the author of Selecting & Appraising: Archives & Manuscripts and more recently Sailing into History: Great Lakes Bulk Carriers of the Twentieth Century and the Crews Who Sailed Them.
